It's funny. There is so much in nature that I could see considering too unrealistic if it appeared in a comic/movie/game. Like the way wild horses arrange their harras by a strict ranking. Like the recently discovered catepillar that eats snails. Like the way squids communicate through variations in their skin coloration. Like the parasite mentioned below.
Then again, there is a lot in the world at large that would be nigh unbelievable in fiction. Like Krakatoa. Like the tales from people in countries where the phone wire is being repeatedly stolen to be melted down into copper tourist figurines. Like the stories of victims of the tsunammi. Like Katrina. Like the fact that the people of this country continue to accept and defend our government our policy and our actions.
